Note from Lisa - Forms and Reflections
Between Christmas and New Year is always a good time for creative reflection. It’s a time when I feel a sense of closure for all the work finished and the year gone, but also new possibilities for coming projects and the year ahead.
As I’ve been reflecting, I began a ‘platter-a-day’ project inspired by the sudden growth of produce from our veggie garden and the desire to counter a meaty Christmas with fresh garden salads.
In terms of sculpture, I’m currently focussing on new ceramic forms for a garden totem commission and carrying out research for my Inner West Council Individual Artist’s Grant called Cooks River Clay Connections.
This year also promises some wonderful ceramic conferences in Gulgong and Alice Springs . All of these things I will feed into many more Bakehouse Studio ceramic workshops which emanate from my own new inspirations and experiments in form.

Wishing everyone a Happy and creative 2022.
