NEWS from Lisa: New for November

October was another big month for me and the Bakehouse Studio, firstly with Sculptures in the Gardens at Rosby Wines, and the Sydney Ceramics Market at Carriageworks. Thanks to everyone who visited us and to fellow Bakehouse artists for joining me at these wonderful events. We made so many new contacts, and sold lots of work. Thanks to Sara, Deb, Sally, Vicki, Cally, Annelise, Tatiana and Eliza for participating in the market and many thanks to Sally for hand making our matching Bakehouse aprons!

Lisa installing Georgia

After Mudgee, I returned artworks from our first Vineyard Totem Workshop to Winmark Wines, collected Georgia and delivered her to a beautiful farm in the Yarramalong Valley. Next year there will be more Hunter Valley and Blue Mountain Workshops. Stay posted!

October also saw Tatiana our Swiss intern return home. We had a great three months working in the studio together, installing exhibitions and just maintaining the studio in general during this busy time of the year. Many thanks to Deb Wilkes who hosted Tatiana while she was here, treating her like one of the family.

Hope you can come along this weekend for the Midjuburi Trail.

November begins with a bang, this weekend, as we open our studio doors for the annual Creative Trails Midjuburi Open Studio Trail. On both Saturday and Sunday we are participating in a Sensory Tour and clay experience organised with Arts NSW and Accessbile Arts. Please drop in and put your hands in some clay or check out new work from Lisa, Cally, Deb, Eliza and Jim.

November is also a big month for workshops as they are our last for this year! Check details below if you would like to book in. Spaces are limited and filling up fast.

Looking forward to seeing you this weekend for the Midjuburi Trail, at a workshop soon or for our annual Christmas Celebration on Friday November 29th 6-8pm and Saturday 30th 10am-4pm. Its been a big year so it’s just about time to celebrate!

In December the studio will be closed while I’m on a ceramic residency in New Zealand. Please contact me after Christmas if you have any work to fire. Otherwise the Bakehouse Studio will reopen on January 13.

Cheers,

Lisa
