Note from Lisa - Clay Zoom Ba

Deb Wilkes during Clay Zoom Ba online co-crafting session

As Sydney Lockdown continues, I’m feeling ever more grateful for the therapeutic qualities of clay and my online clay community. Clay Zoom Ba -  our Online Open Studio is now in its 5th week and gathering momentum. Last week I was asked in an interview what I couldn’t live without during lockdown. I realised it was this weekly meetup with fellow creatives who have no particular agenda but to stay in touch. We touch some clay or other comforting craft work, simply chatting while we play in parallel.  It’s a beautiful new thing born from unavoidable circumstances and perhaps to be short-lived, who knows?

Work in progress on the Bakehouse Shed Project

Another positive outcome of a long lockdown has been more progress on the creation of Scott’s Bakehouse Shed. Here’s a sneak preview of renovation in progress with the building of work benches and storage cupboards for wood and metalworking tools. Go Scott!
Look forward to updating you on the progress next month.

In the meantime, if you would like to connect with our Open Studio cohort during Lockdown by joining our next Clay Zoom Ba meeting. Details below:
